Watch a Session
This is the recording from Tuesday, Feb 1st covering how to find and write about your seed. We do a presentation and a deep dive with students. It gets heavy at some points!
The only way to start working directly with Dr. Gray on your applications moving forward is through the Application Academy.
If you've been a fan of Application Renovation, or Mission Accepted, and you want to be part of an engaging group of students all working together on applications, being guided by the expertise of Dr. Ryan Gray, then the Application Academy is what you need.
Dr. Gray has charged up to $5,000 in the past to work one-on-one with him through an application cycle. This new offering is only $500 (or 4 payments of $125), and will be a valuable investment in your medical school application process.
What Students are Saying About Application Academy!
"SIGN UP NOW! The feedback, coaching, and advice given through this class is valuable beyond measure. The longitudinal nature of the course keeps you motivated, encouraged, and allows you to even develop relationships with other pre-meds across the country as you meet weekly. This course was the best thing I could have done for my application cycle. I don't know what I would have done without it!" - HW—Accepted UCSD
"Sign up! I truly believe that this program is the reason I received 4 MD school interview invitations with a subpar GPA. Dr. Gray helped me craft my story and showed me other things I could highlight on my application rather than academics. It was amazing to have support from other applicants that experienced the same feelings and frustrations as I did throughout the application process. Overall, this group was so uplifting and made a huge difference in my application process. This was a great deal for how many sessions we had and how much one-on-one time we had with Dr. Gray. It was so worth it in my opinion. " -PA—Accepted
"What I learned in the class helped me to show my genuine, authentic self in my writing and through my interviews! Beyond just the intended value of Application Academy, I found so many other benefits. I made multiple friends through the class, many of whom I am still in contact with after the class ended! Additionally, I learned so much about the healthcare system through hearing classmates’ different perspectives and practicing MMI questions during interview prep season in Application Academy. Those are just some of the benefits I got from attending Application Academy. I would say the value of the class is well beyond the what I paid for, and I truly appreciate Dr. Gray taking the step to make application feedback more affordable!" - MB—Accepted University of Cincinnati
Each week you'll have the ability to meet live with Dr. Gray and other Mappd Advisors (Dr. Scott Wright, former Director of Admissions at UT Southwestern, Varinia Grannum, former Assistant Dean in the Pre-Health and STEM Advising office at Hofstra University in New York, and Rachel Grubbs, Mappd co-founder and premed and MCAT expert with 20 years experience in the MCAT and premed space).
There will be 4-5 hours of live office hours, presentations, essay review, interview prep, and more each week.
There will also be a TA (an Academy alumna who crushed it) helping answer questions and give advice in the Facebook group.
What This is Not
This is not a 1-on-1 program. There is no guarantee of direct feedback on your material. The Q&A sessions will be open for students to get feedback on different aspects of their application, but based on the demand, Dr. Gray may not be able to get to everything. This was a concern for some students, but it worked great.
Here is what Tayler had to say about it:
When I had signed up for AA, I was worried that I wouldn’t get 1-on-1 attention but that was not an issue at all. Every week I was able to ask multiple questions and get individual help. Plus, hearing everyone else’s questions was just as helpful for me. Knowing that this process is not something you are going through alone is reassuring. The AA community was nothing but supportive and encouraging.
If you need 1-on-1 help, please go to mappd.com/services for premed advising services.
Sessions will be recorded and kept as part of the content library for the other members. The material may also be used for content on Meded Media or Mappd social media channels. We will do our best to anonymize the content before it goes out.
